About

Gabriela Massip Figueredo is a trilingual documentary producer of wildlife, science and historical programs. She has contributed to productions for PBS, National Geographic, Discovery Channel, CuriosityStream, CCTV, the Okeanos Foundation, Cornell University’s Lab of Ornithology, Nickelodeon and Netflix. 

Her work has brought her to several continents and oceans, most recently as co-producer and field producer on multiple National Geographic shows about various shark species. While at the Okeanos Foundation, she supported conservation efforts with Indigenous Pacific Islanders and governments. She attended the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Germany and two UN Ocean Conferences as part of the Palau delegation.

Gabriela is a Fellow of the inaugural Jackson Wild Latinx Media Lab and was an Ocean Fellow at the 2023 Jackson Wild Summit. In 2022, she was a panelist at the Sharks International Conference. She has been a guest lecturer and invited speaker at a number of universities and schools, including the University of Toronto, Rutgers University, George Mason University, and San Roberto International School in Mexico.
